The mainline is located behind River City Hall, 1235 Camino del Rio, and crosses the Animas River near El Paso Street. Work is scheduled to last about four weeks, weather permitting.

As part of the waterline reconstruction, coffer dams will be placed in the river to access the waterline. The coffer dam location will be adjusted over the course of the reconstruction as crews work their way across the river.

River users should use caution while work is in progress, and Animas River Trail users may be detoured around the work area during the project.

Reconstruction of the water-mainline will allow the return of water services to Iris Park, Riverfront Park, Roosa Park and Schneider Park.
