La Plata County staff members will be on site with heavy equipment to load vehicles and trailers.
The center accepts dry, brown yard waste, such as tree trimmings, slash and tree trunks up to 8 inches in diameter, to be turned into mulch.
The transfer station will be closed during mulch-loading.
