According to the Columbine District office, burns will continue through Friday morning and may be conducted again Monday, weather permitting, until operations are complete.
Crews compile slash from recent fire-mitigation thinning and firewood activities, and burn operations are typically conducted after snowfall for safety. Fire crews ignite slash piles and closely monitor burns. Public access and recreational use of the area will remain open.
