The Colorado Springs Gazette reported Thursday the storm also damaged about 250,000 square feet of roof at Pikes Peak Community College.
Hail up to 3 inches in diameter struck the area early Wednesday.
No injuries were reported despite the ferocity of the storm.
The Army said officials were still inspecting roofs, lights, solar panels and military vehicles at Fort Carson, just southwest of Colorado Springs.
