The intersection of Commcerce Drive and U.S. Highway 160 is closed tonight after a semi-truck reportedly struck a power pole in front of Mini Merc, bringing it down to a 45-degree angle. Responders from Upper Pine River Fire Protection District say a truck reportedly struck the pole, and they believe it could have caught the pole and dragged it down. La Plata Electric Association crews arrived on the scene about 7:45 p.m. to get the line repaired. Drivers should use the County Road 501 intersection to access the north side of Bayfield tonight.
