Casey has been the director of La Plata County Senior Services for 19 years.
With Casey as director, La Plata County Senior Services received the El Pomar Award of Excellence and the National Association of Human Services Innovations Award. She helped introduce expanded senior services, including nutritional meals, home chore services, county-wide transportation, family caregiver support, Medicare counseling and educational and recreational activities.
