Wilkinson has written 14 books about the law, history and society of the American West, and he was a special adviser to the Bears Ears Inter-Tribal Coalition in 2016 during the creation of the national monument.

Wilkinson’s lecture, titled “The Greatness of Bears Ears National Monument: Five Tribes Define a Spiritual Cultural Area in Redrock Utah and Make It Law,” is free and open to all.
