Let’s not forget the embarrassing “hanging chad” from the 2000 presidential election, where old-school unreliable voting machines were in use when state-of-the-art methods with a paper trail could have brought us a different president – without a 9/11, a war in Iraq/Afghanistan, and the list goes on.
Just think, in 2000 we had no debt and the economy was great with Democrats and Republicans working together starting with the 1992 Presidential Election. Sounds like a fairytale now with the 20 years of gridlock and nastiness.
Hopefully, we can do better in 2020 and the 40% of Americans that didn’t vote in 2016 and everyone else who did will feel confident with real trust to get out and vote.
