With assistant coach Katrina Richards looking on at rear, Ignacio senior setter Alex Forsythe receives the Volleycats' Most Valuable Player award and a hug from head coach Thad Cano at the team's end-of-season banquet and awards ceremony Nov. 29 inside the IHS Performing Arts Center. Based on statistics, Forsythe was also named the varsity's MaxPreps.com Player-of-the-Year. The varsity Coaches' Award, recognizing grade-point average/classroom achievement, went to freshmen Makayla Howell and Morgan Herrera. Herrera also received the varsity's Most Improved award.
