A series of do-it-yourself classes will teach you skills that will help you make gifts for those you love. All classes run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and pre-registration is required.
Here’s the schedule:
Make Your Own Greeting Cards, Thursday: Participants will make five cards that can be combined as a note card set or sent as individual greeting cards to friends. Cost $5.Cake and Cupcake Decorating, Nov. 16: In this class you will learn the basics of using fondant and icing to create beautiful cakes and cupcakes. All tools and supplies will be provided and each student will go home with an edible present decorated by you. This is a novice class, and cooks of all talent levels are welcome. Cost $5.Make Your Own Body Care Products, Nov. 29: Learn how to make your own all-natural lip balm, deodorant, exfoliating salt scrub, and facial toner. Go home with two lip balms, a deodorant, and a scrub and the know-how to make these products and more in the future. Cost $10.Soap Making, Dec. 7: Learn how to make soap for you or your friends and family. Participants must be high school-aged or older. Cost $10.To register, contact the library at 884-2222.
