The Durango march will occur simultaneously with the People’s Climate March in Washington, D.C., to nationally recognize that climate change is real and promote a commitment to eliminate reliance on fossil fuels. Participants will stand in unity for a clean-energy economy.

The Durango rally will feature several guest speakers, including activist and climber Kitty Calhoun, live music, opportunities for climate-change action and electric Nissan test-drives.

Before the march, Citizens Climate Lobby will host two nights of climate-change education at Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.:
