A 78-year-old Pagosa Springs woman turned left from Camino del Rio to go west on U.S. Highway 160 without yielding to oncoming traffic, according to the Durango Police Department. She was struck by southbound vehicle driven by a 57-year-old woman from Mesa, Arizona. Her passenger, Maureen Brennan of Durango, 75, was taken to Mercy Regional Medical Center, where she was treated and released. The crash occurred shortly after 11 a.m. Wednesday and blocked southbound traffic for 30 to 35 minutes.
