The project will start Thursday and is anticipated to conclude by May 24.
Eastbound traffic will be reduced to one lane. The traffic control will be set at 8:30 a.m. and removed by 4:30 p.m. to reduce impacts during peak traffic periods.
The pole was structurally damaged when it was hit by a vehicle. The new pole and arm installation will also allow the curb and sidewalk to be brought up to Americans with Disabilities Act standards.
Pedestrian traffic will be diverted to the north side of College Drive around the construction site. Drivers are encouraged to use caution when traveling in the area.
