Disabled veterans property tax exemption deadline July 1

Veterans must have owned and lived on the property as their primary residence as of Jan. 1 of the year applied. Fifty percent of the first $200,000 of actual value of their primary residence is exempt. The state will fund the exemption for tax year 2019.

Once approved, the exemption remains on the person’s account. Applicants should not reapply.
