The commissioners will hear public comments on whether parcels totaling 15,546 acres on County Road 203 should be rezoned into a high density designation of multifamily residential from one-acre minimum single-family residential, in direct conflict with the objectives and regulations of the Animas Valley Land Use Plan.

The multifamily designation could allow apartments, condominiums, town homes, manufactured home parks (trailer parks), etc.

The BOCC will make the final decision on whether or not to approve a resolution granting the request to rezone these properties. If you oppose the rezone, this is your last chance to have your voice heard.
