I lived downtown for a time and was often thwarted in parking by the constant and year-round city-sponsored events. Once, I had to park six blocks away from my apartment during a parade.
If the city can find enough capital to fund a recreation center, which has certainly become well-used and a major asset to the community, one would think it could find a way to fund a parking structure at the transit center to alleviate the problem now made more severe by the new meters.
