KDUR will air a recording of the Dec. 13 production of “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” at 5 and 9 p.m. t. The play was staged over two weekends this month by two different casts at the Durango Arts Center; Landon Newtown, far left, voiced George Bailey and Bob Thom, seated in upper right, played Henry Potter in both casts. The Joe Landry play is set in a 1940s radio studio where actors and sound effects artists perform the play “for radio” in front of a live audience. Landry said the DAC/KDUR request is the first time he’s been asked for permission to air a version of the play on the radio. KDUR can be heard at 91.9 and 93.9 FM, online at www.kdur.org and on mobile devices using the TuneIn Radio app.
