David Ellisor competed in Durango Parks and Recreation’s inaugural pickleball tournament Saturday at the Durango Community Recreation Center. Pickleball is similar to indoor tennis but with a smaller court and net. “It is an out-of-body experience,” Ellisor said. “You don’t even notice you are getting hot or sweating.”
