The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is the most stolen luxury car, the National Insurance Crime Bureau reports. And two of its brand stablemates are on the list as well: the E-Class is in fourth place and the S-Class is in 10th place.
The study is based on National Crime Information Center figures.
BMW shows up in second place with its 3 series, and again sixth place with the 5 Series in the study, which looks at thefts of 2010 to 2012 model year cars. Also in the Top 10 is the Infiniti G Class, Cadillac CTS, Lincoln MKZ, Acura TSX and Lexus IS.
Overall, 4,384 luxury class vehicles were stolen during the period.
