A Durango High School student leaving school Wednesday afternoon on his bicycle was injured after attempting to cross Main Avenue against the pedestrian-crossing light, Durango Police Department officer Ron Wysocki said. Wysocki said that at approximately 3:25 p.m. the male student struck the driver’s side of a vehicle traveling southbound on Main. The boy was conscious and was transported to Mercy Regional Medical Center, Wysocki said. Durango Fire & Rescue Authority and Colorado State Patrol also responded to the accident.
