Volunteer Jim Poe inspects the joints of a newly constructed 22-square-foot growing dome Wednesday within the Pine River Community Garden at Pine River Public Library. Donated by Growing Spaces in Pagosa Springs, the dome’s purpose is to promote self-sufficiency and sustainability and support local food production. Library Development Director Judy Poe describes it as a “living library for learning and to build community.”
