What did that tyrannical entity do for them? It developed a systematic effort to exterminate them by eliminating their food sources and introducing fatal diseases and alcohol into their populations. That is the powerful, all-controlling state that is supported by the left. Even today, the socialism of the reservation system works to destroy them with substandard government health care and welfare that discourages and undermines self-reliance and continuation of their marvelous cultures.

The Southern Ute Tribe recognized this years ago and is to be commended the vision of its leaders and steps it took to escape that government enslavement.
