Never before in history has an agency (and maybe a couple of other arms) of the U.S. government been used to attack a sizable portion of U.S. citizens. And make no mistake, this was an attack – an attack in which government agencies are used against U.S. citizens is a precursor to an armed uprising, because you either do something or you’re vanquished. The “I don’t knows” from the administration and the liberal press trying to censor the stories is not a good tactic for the simple reason that it appears to be an attempt to get away with the most serious attack on U.S. citizens in history. I would feel a lot better if I saw Democrats stridently calling for a house-cleaning; the current “let’s-be-quiet-and-see-if-we-can-get-away-with-it” approach only pushes the United States toward a potentially harsher resolution. Suppression of the news, intimidation and other tactics are getting perilously close to overt and willful despotism; that can’t be allowed to happen. The silence and defensive justifications from the left for this crime are ominous.
