Wickman won the 100-meter dash in 11.6 seconds last weekend at the Thunderbird Invitational in Sangre de Cristo, then won the 200 in a BHS record 22.8 seconds. Eva-Lou Edwards will star among the girls field, where shes ranked No. 1 in the state in the 3,200 with her sub-12-minute times.Several others that are just on the verge of coming out with some really good performances, and we hope they come through (today), Kimball said.
The meet will begin with the field events, first the javelin at 8:30 a.m., which Kimball said is a really cool event for people who havent seen it before.
The standout among the field events should be the pole vault.
John Arnold has jumped 13 feet, 6 inches this season, which is a very nice jump, Kimball said.
Arnold leads a competitive group of vaulters.
Kimball also is looking for solid performances from throwers T.J. Pazell, Michael Hawkins and Samantha Espinosa.
The weather should be perfect for the all-day annual meet at BHS. The weather service predicts a high of 65 with mostly sunny conditions.
