Barney earned a doctor of medicine degree. She has selected the specialty of anesthesia, and will be completing her residency training with the Duke anesthesia program in Durham, North Carolina.
Her husband, Kieran Hall, will also remain at Duke as assistant coach for the Duke women’s soccer team.
Barney’s parents are Thomas Barney and Anne Klein. She attended St. Columba for grade school and graduated from Durango High School in 2012.
