Lankford stated that the goal is to provide an “average” of 70% of the wages earned while working. Some may receive more than they had earned, some may receive less; per Lankford, the acceptable solution was to achieve the “average” of 70%.
I am suggesting that until the employment figures return to pre-COVID-19 numbers, members of Congress receive 70% of their salary.
As to calculating unemployment benefits for each individual, for those who filed income taxes, couldn’t someone create an app for that?
