San Juan Regional Medical Center offers monoclonal antibody infusions for non-hospitalized patients with confirmed mild to moderate coronavirus infection within 10 days of the onset of symptoms.

Monoclonal antibodies are laboratory-made proteins that mimic the immune system’s ability to fight off harmful antigens such as viruses and can help reduce COVID-19 hospitalizations. San Juan Regional Medical Center offers Bamlanivimab/Etesevimab to treat patients who qualify.

These criteria that must be met for confirmed COVID-positive patients:

Those 65 and older do not need to meet any additional risk factors

Patients may be referred for monoclonal antibody Infusions through the Emergency Department, Urgent Care or their primary care physician.

Infusions are given intravenously and take about three hours. The clinic, in San Juan Regional Medical Center’s Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab Gym, is open from 7:30 to 11 a.m. and noon to 3:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday.
