Pine River Library debuts fall programs

Storytime for young children will be held at 9:30-10:30 a.m. each Wednesday that includes stories, songs and crafts. On the second Wednesday of each month, there will be a Kindergarten Readiness workshop for the parents and caregivers of children ages 0 to 5 that will follow the storytime, from 10:30-11:30 a.m., hosted by experts from the Early Childhood Council. For children in grades K-five, the library will host a S.T.E.A.M program from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and an Afterschool Art program from 3:30-5 p.m. Thursdays. The Library will also debut a “S.T.E.A.M. Badge Quest,” a new scout-style program where children earn badges by attending the S.T.E.A.M. program and completing challenges in our Badge Quest Packet. The library will also resume its “Gamer Club” for kids, teens and families from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Mondays. Parents or guardians must register their children to participate in library after school kids programs. Visit www.prlibrary.org/kids-programs to learn more about the programs and registration process.For middle and high schoolers, the library will host two programs a week from 3:30-5:15 pm. On Wednesdays, the library will host S.T.EM projects. Most Fridays will be gaming days, and on the last Friday of each month, there will be a food program where teens will make culinary treats.For adults, there will be programs about green cleaning, whole grain cooking, Teddy Roosevelt, and Ancient Pueblo sites, plus exercise classes and more. In October, the library will restart its Classic Movie Mondays and Death Cafes series.
