The Hearts of Fire balloon, piloted by Brad Rice of Albuquerque, was one six balloons that lit up Main Avenue on Friday evening during the Animas Valley Balloon Rally balloon glow. Mass ascension is planned, weather permitting, at 8 a.m. Saturday and Sunday near the intersection of Hermosa Meadows Road and U.S. Highway 550 north of Durango.
