Also performing well in the 100-meter hurdles were Kobie Beanland, who placed third overall (18.00), and Madilyn Hankins, who crossed the line fifth overall (18.74).<\/p>\n<p>Other strong performances by members of the girls\u2019 team in running events came courtesy of Bridge Seely, who placed eighth in the 800-meter run (7:48.13), and Aspen Kibel, who finished ninth in the 1600-meter run (8:00.92).<\/p>\n<p>Top performers for Dove Creek in the throwing events included Cassie Gatlin, who placed second in the shot put (22 feet, 9 inches) and eighth in the discus (87 feet, 10\u00bd inches), and Makayla Hankins, who finished seventh in the discus.<\/p>\n<p>The Dove Creek girls\u2019 team finished fourth in the 14-team event with 48 total points, while Pagosa Springs placed first with 102 points.<\/p>\n<p>On the boys\u2019 side, Dove Creek was led by JD Dennison, who placed third in the discus (118 feet, 1 inch), and fourth in the shot put (38 feet, 3\u00bc inch).
