The event was held at the historic Bauer House in Mancos.<\/span><span class=\"credit\">Courtesy photo<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><p>The Mancos Valley Historical Society and the Bank of Colorado present \u201cLittle Black Dresses\u201d on Sept. 22 at the home of Teri and Drew Simmons near Mancos.<\/p>\n<p>The women\u2019s event will feature hors d\u2019oeuvres, beverages and a dress review with prizes and local music. It starts at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Any local woman may participate in the review, with prizes in categories including Vintage Evening Wear, Itty Bitty Black Dress, South of the Border, My Favorite Little Black Dress, Audrey Hepburn Look-alikes and Elegant Hats. Participants can enter more than one category.<\/p>\n<p>Door prizes will be awarded throughout the evening.<\/p>\n<p>Cost is $20 at the door, with proceeds going to the Historical Society\u2019s museum fund.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets are available for advance purchase at the Mancos Visitors Center.<\/p>\n<p>All area women are welcome.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDresses need not be black,\u201d said Historical Society President Linda Simmons.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is all about a ladies\u2019 evening out, dressing up and having fun.
