Police are working to identify the body of an elderly man found under a bridge near the Durango Dog Park on Thursday morning.<\/p>\n
A man and a woman walking under a pedestrian bridge over Lightner Creek found the body at 9:48 a.m., said Durango Police Cmdr. Ray Shupe.<\/p>\n
No obvious signs of trauma or cause of death were immediately found on the body. Police suspect the man died sometime Wednesday night or Thursday morning, Shupe said.<\/p>\n
Police do not suspect foul play or suspicious circumstances, he said.<\/p>\n
This is the third body found on public property in two weeks in Durango, and the second that has been found at the Dog Park.<\/p>\n
Police this week identified the two other bodies:<\/p>\n
Dawson W. Radau, 27, of Orlando, Florida, was found Sept. 27 in the Dog Park. Authorities believe the body had been there for about a month. An autopsy concluded Radau died by suicide.<\/em>Nicole Paula Wagner, 25, of Durango died Sunday in Iris Park. Wagner was with her boyfriend and several friends when she collapsed.
