Durango Police are looking for a man who illegally entered an office trailer at Lake Nighthorse and left a note saying he was \u201clost and cold.\u201d<\/p>\n

The man was caught on surveillance camera about 6 p.m. Saturday entering the office trailer, said Durango Police Cmdr. Ray Shupe.<\/p>\n

The man, however, did not steal or damage anything in the trailer. Instead, he left a note saying only that he was lost and cold.<\/p>\n

It appears from the surveillance camera that the man, dressed in camouflage and carrying a rifle, was hunting around the area.<\/p>\n

While Lake Nighthorse is closed to hunting, many people hunt in the Bodo State Wildlife Area<\/a>, adjacent to the lake, Shupe said.<\/p>\n

Lake Nighthorse is about 4 miles from downtown Durango, and about 2 miles from Bodo Industrial Park.<\/p>\n

Though the man broke into the trailer, Shupe said police aren\u2019t trying to pin any criminal charges on him.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe just want to check on his welfare and see if he\u2019s all right,\u201d Shupe said.<\/p>\n

Anyone with information about the man\u2019s whereabouts or who may have contact information for him are asked to call non-emergency dispatch at 385-2900.<\/p>\n
