Journal File Photo<br><br>The Four Corners Child Advocacy Center is hosting upcoming trainings centered on addressing the effects of trauma on children and fostering positive sexual development.<\/span>du1-i-syn<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

On Tuesday evening from 5:15-6:15 p.m., the center will host an \u201cUnderstanding How Trauma Affects Children\u201d workshop, led by therapist Rachel Heberle. The training aims to inform attendees on the effect of traumatic events on children and how to best support young people in these scenarios.<\/p>\n

Registration for this event is currently full, but organizers encourages interested participants to look out for another training in March.<\/p>\n

And on Wednesday, the organization\u2019s executive director Rose Jergens will lead a \u201cNurturing Healthy Sexual Development\u201d training, where she will talk about the expected development of children, healthy sexuality, and child sexual abuse preventions. Attendees will discuss how to respond to children\u2019s behaviors and questions in ways that promote healthy development and mentalities.<\/p>\n

The Wednesday training will happen from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the center at 140 N. Linden St. For more information and to register for the second event, visit the organization\u2019s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n
