Andy Brock said the driver was a 72-year-old man who accidentally hit the gas as he pulled into the parking space.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a cement pole that was cemented into the ground, and it was knocked over flat,\u201d Brock said.<\/p>\n<p>Brock said the driver was not injured and impairment was not a factor. The vehicle was towed, Brock said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe does pretty good damage to the front of his truck,\u201d Brock said.<\/p>\n<p>Because the vehicle damaged private property, Brock said the driver\u2019s insurance should cover the costs.<\/p>\n<p>Two Cortez police officers investigated the incident. The vehicle has Colorado license plates designated for people with disabilities.
