Shaking off the rust after what was a long and cold winter, the Mancos High School boys and girls track teams participated in the Red Rocks Invitational track meet in Moab on Saturday and produced solid results.<\/p>\n

Among the top performers for Mancos was sophomore Grace Manning, who performed admirably in route to a second-place finish in the 1,600-meter run (5:54.45) and a third-place finish in the 800-meter run (2:36.63).<\/p>\n

Also cracking the Top 10 in two individual events for the girls team was freshman Hannah Sparks, who placed third in the long jump (14 feet, 6 inches) and seventh in the 200-meter dash (30.47).<\/p>\n

On the boys side, Mancos was led by senior Caden Galloway, who placed third in the long jump (5 feet, 8 inches) and sixth in the long jump (17 feet, \u00c2\u00bd inch).<\/p>\n

Junior Breccen Morelli crossed the line fourth in the 200-meter dash (24.95) and seventh in the 100-meter dash (12.29), and freshman Mike Velasquez placed seventh in the discus (80 feet, 7 inches).<\/p>\n
