Bring empty cans inside before dark.<\/em><em class=\"mwc_breakout_text_bullet\">Use a bear-resistant trash can or dumpster. <\/em><em class=\"mwc_breakout_text_bullet\">Clean all garbage cans regularly to keep them odor free. The scent of ammonia can deter bears.<\/em><em class=\"mwc_breakout_text_bullet\">Take down all bird feeders by April 15. Hang feeders again in mid-November.<\/em><em class=\"mwc_breakout_text_bullet\">Don\u2019t leave pet food or stock feed outside.<\/em><em class=\"mwc_breakout_text_bullet\">Keep garage doors and windows closed and locked, especially between dusk and dawn.<\/em><em class=\"mwc_breakout_text_bullet\">Don\u2019t leave food or scented items in your car.
