The resort\u2019s mid-mountain base depth is 55 inches.<\/p>\n<p>During the 2018-19 season, the resort received 359 inches \u2013 nearly 30 feet \u2013 of snow, which has happened only two other times since the resort opened in 1965. While Purgatory does not release skier-visit data, the area saw double-digit growth over last year, said Dave Rathbun, Purgatory\u2019s general manager.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe haven\u2019t seen snow like this in over 40 years,\u201d Rathbun said. \u201cIn March alone, we received more than 100 inches of snowfall, which hasn\u2019t happened here since 1979. Our guests and loyal pass holders will be talking about this season for years to come \u2013 and we\u2019re thrilled to be able to share these great conditions in the month of May for the first time in our history.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Discounted lift tickets will be available at the window: $49 for adults (18-64), $37 for teens (13-17), $32 for kids (ages 11-12), $39 for seniors (ages 65-79) and people 80 and older ski free.<\/p>\n<p>Kids 10 and younger receive a free Power Kids season pass that will be valid for the remainder of the season at all MCP family ski areas, as well as the 2019-20 season.
