{"id":94081,"date":"2019-05-11T09:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-05-11T15:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/new-group-offers-support-to-those-caring-for-mentally-ill\/"},"modified":"2019-05-11T09:00:00","modified_gmt":"2019-05-11T15:00:00","slug":"new-group-offers-support-to-those-caring-for-mentally-ill","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/new-group-offers-support-to-those-caring-for-mentally-ill\/","title":{"rendered":"New group offers support to those caring for mentally ill"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>After Donna and Phil Middleton\u2019s son was diagnosed with a mental health disorder four years ago, they were left with feelings of fear, shock, frustration and grief.<\/p>\n<p>Those feelings showed Donna Middleton the need for a group that would allow the caregivers of those with mental health conditions to share their experiences, she said.<\/p>\n<p>Beacon of Hope met for the first time this week to talk through the emotions and responsibilities associated with caring for someone with a mental illness, she said.
