{"id":93883,"date":"2019-05-20T15:19:51","date_gmt":"2019-05-20T21:19:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/cortez-man-arrested-in-connection-with-ignacio-death\/"},"modified":"2019-05-20T15:19:51","modified_gmt":"2019-05-20T21:19:51","slug":"cortez-man-arrested-in-connection-with-ignacio-death","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/cortez-man-arrested-in-connection-with-ignacio-death\/","title":{"rendered":"Cortez man arrested in connection with Ignacio death"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Authorities have arrested a 50-year-old Cortez man on suspicion of first-degree murder in connection with a death last week in Ignacio.<\/p>\n<p><figure class=\"wp-block-image naviga-inline-image naviga-align-left alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imengine.public.prod.dur.navigacloud.com\/?uuid=09614f33-5d69-47cf-bceb-7f1591782757&amp;function=cover&amp;type=preview&amp;source=false&amp;width=2000\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1333\" alt=\"Rose\" class=\"naviga-image\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption><span class=\"caption\">Rose<\/span><span class=\"credit\">du1-i-syn<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><p>The La Plata County Sheriff\u2019s Office on Monday announced Robert Dean Rose was arrested about 4 p.m. Sunday after being spotted at the Starbucks in downtown Durango.<\/p>\n<p>Rose was booked into the La Plata County Jail without bail.<\/p>\n<p>The Sheriff\u2019s Office on May 13 responded to a home a few miles north of Ignacio in the 400 block of County Road 509 after a body was found at the residence.<\/p>\n<p>The body was identified as Mark Wayman, 65.
