Use of a third party to complete filings with the secretary of state is not required.<\/p>\n<p>The solicitation may:<\/p>\n<p><em class=\"mwc_body_bullet_rr\">Appear similar to a government form.<\/em><em class=\"mwc_body_bullet_rr\">Contain a business entity\u2019s actual business ID number and date of formation.<\/em><em class=\"mwc_body_bullet_rr\">Contain a \u201cCustomer ID Number\u201d that does not match an ID number given by a state or federal agency.<\/em><em class=\"mwc_body_bullet_rr\">Contain a warning asking that the form\u2019s instructions are followed exactly.<\/em><em class=\"mwc_body_bullet_rr\">Contain a due date for a response.<\/em><em class=\"mwc_body_bullet_rr\">Mention a periodic report.<\/em>The Colorado Secretary of State\u2019s office does not send solicitations and does not mail out business filing forms, Griswold said<\/p>\n<p>All business filings are filed online. The current fee for filing a periodic report is only $10.
