District Attorney Will Furse declined to comment at this time, citing the ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n<p><figure class=\"wp-block-image naviga-inline-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imengine.public.prod.dur.navigacloud.com\/?uuid=f3731ea4-d8ce-4c84-9750-6c5e9d14615b&amp;function=cover&amp;type=preview&amp;source=false&amp;width=2000\" width=\"1143\" height=\"901\" alt=\"Riddle\" class=\"naviga-image\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption><span class=\"caption\">Riddle<\/span><span class=\"credit\">du1-i-syn<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><p>According to case documents from <a href=\"https:\/\/the-journal.com\/articles\/145070#slide=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">prior reporting<\/a>, a woman called Montezuma County dispatch about 8:45 a.m. July 4 to report that David Allen Mooney of Chino Valley, Arizona, was unresponsive and not breathing. An ambulance and a sheriff\u2019s deputy were dispatched, and Mooney was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>It appeared the man had been dead for several hours and had died at the residence, Nowlin said.<\/p>\n<p>The manner of death was not released, and the suspected weapon was not identified. An autopsy was performed, said Montezuma County Coroner George Deavers, but the final report was not complete. Nowlin and Deavers declined to comment further.<\/p>\n<p>Mooney has a residence in Arizona, but he had been working in the area as a truck driver for the summer.
