No Way Jose\u2019s was simply too small and the San Marcos\u2019 building was \u201cfalling apart,\u201d he said. San Marcos closed in September, he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am happy to be in a new location in the downtown,\u201d Lariz said.<\/p>\n<p>In a building closer to Durango\u2019s night life, Lariz hopes to fill a niche for late meals on Fridays and Saturdays by staying open until 3 a.m. The late-night hours are expected to start in January, he said.<\/p>\n<p><figure class=\"wp-block-image naviga-inline-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imengine.public.prod.dur.navigacloud.com\/?uuid=519ddf18-32b0-4135-b7e2-32f8e044d755&amp;function=cover&amp;type=preview&amp;source=false&amp;width=2000\" width=\"950\" height=\"694\" alt=\"Jerry McBride\/Durango Herald&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Mi Ranchito Family Restaurant has opened in the west 100 block of College Drive in the space formerly occupied by BREW Pub &amp; Kitchen.\" class=\"naviga-image\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption><span class=\"caption\">Jerry McBride\/Durango Herald&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Mi Ranchito Family Restaurant has opened in the west 100 block of College Drive in the space formerly occupied by BREW Pub &amp; Kitchen.<\/span><span class=\"credit\">du1-i-syn<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><p>Lariz also opened up the building to seat more people than BREW by clearing space previously dedicated to brewing equipment. The restaurant can seat about 85 people.<\/p>\n<p>However, Lariz preserved the bar and plans to serve margaritas, wine and other alcoholic drinks.<\/p>\n<p>The restaurant\u2019s menu features street tacos, carne asada, enchiladas, tamales, chile rellenos, mole and flautas, among other dishes.<\/p>\n<p>The restaurant\u2019s current hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Entrees are priced from about $11.75 to $16.
