Ice skates will be available. Free lessons and demonstrations on the sport of curling will be at 10 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Sledding will be offered from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the base of Chair 4, and sleds will be provided. Also, free train rides, kids crafts, holiday films, caroling, live reindeer petting area, and Santa Clause at Santa\u2019s Village will all be on hand.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is a super fun, family-friendly event,\u201d said organizer Heidi Stenhammer.<\/p>\n<div class=\"naviga-element naviga-subheadline1\">Holiday cabaret promises fun<\/div>\n<p>The Telluride Holiday Cabaret will take place from Dec. 20 to Dec. 24 at the Sheridan Opera House.<\/p>\n<p>The variety show will keep the audience singing, dancing and laughing. There are lots of surprises, and performers take the action into the crowd.<\/p>\n<p>The show is filled with a cast of all local actors, dancers and singers, said Sasha Sullivan, art director for Telluride Theater.<\/p>\n<p>Growing up celebrating Christmas in New York, Sullivan was inspired to bring cabaret magic to Telluride.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI grew up going to the Radio City Musical Hall Christmas Spectacular every year as a kid,\u201d Sullivan said. \u201cIt was an awesome holiday tradition that is ingrained in me. I just loved the celebration and spectacle, the music and dance, the fact that it was family-friendly. I wanted to create a show that came from a similar place \u2026 but is still totally Telluride Theatre.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tickets are $10 for students younger than 18, $15 to $20 for adults and $35 for VIP cabaret.
