One of two Durango men suspected of robbing and assaulting a person at gunpoint has been arrested, according to police.<\/p>\n

The Durango Police Department posted to its Facebook page Friday morning<\/a> that Joshua Gallegos, 23, was taken into custody in Grand Junction on a La Plata County arrest warrant.<\/p>\n

The other suspect, Stephen Goupil, remained at large and is considered armed and dangerous, police said.<\/p>\n

On Dec. 19, Durango police said Gallegos and Goupil met an acquaintance near Taco Bell on north Main Avenue<\/a>, and the group then went to the End-O-Day Motel at 350 East Eighth Ave. There, Gallegos and Goupil are suspected of robbing and assaulting the victim at gunpoint, and stealing cash and a wallet. The victim escaped the robbers, contacted police and was ultimately taken to Mercy Regional Medical Center for treatment.<\/p>\n
