Wade Christopher Anderson, 33, was facing up to six years in prison after pleading guilty to vehicular eluding and drunken driving in a plea agreement with the 6th Judicial District Attorney\u2019s Office in Durango.<\/p>\n
District Judge Suzanne Carlson also sentenced Anderson to 42 days in jail, but he was given credit for time served, which means he won\u2019t have to serve any further time.<\/p>\n
The chase began about 6:55 p.m. Aug. 11 near Santa Rita Park on South Camino del Rio and ended about 7 miles south of Durango on La Posta Road (County Road 213).<\/p>\n
The chase reached at least 75 mph.<\/p>\n
Anderson turned onto a dead-end dirt road, turned around and hit the front passenger side of a sheriff\u2019s vehicle that was pursuing him.<\/p>\n
The white Dodge Dakota was later found crashed at the end of another oil service road, where Anderson was arrested.<\/p>\n
Anderson had prior felony convictions, including in 2009 for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon; forgery; arson; receiving or transferring a stolen motor vehicle; and fraudulent signing of a credit card, sales slip or agreement.<\/p>\n
