Mountain Bike Race Weekend<\/div>\n

Registration is now open for the Kinsey\u2019s Spring Classic and Roost the Ridges Enduro mountain bike races. Lions Wilderness Park will host both races, with Roost the Ridges Enduro taking place at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 18, and Kinsey\u2019s Spring Classic on Sunday, March 19.<\/p>\n

Roost the Ridges Enduro is a 25-mile race covering a variety of ridges and trails, such as Seven Sisters, Lake View and Wild Bills. There are timed and non-timed sections.<\/p>\n

Teen, intermediate and professional categories are available. Registration is $65 to $75 and is available online<\/a>. Race packet pickup will be from 8 to 8:45 a.m. March 18 at Lions Wilderness Park.<\/p>\n

The inaugural Kinsey\u2019s Spring Classic is presented by Sandstone Cycles. Two race options are available. The Kids Race begins at 9 a.m. and is open to cyclists 9 years old and younger. The 30-mile cross-country race begins at 11 a.m. and will include trails such as Limber Trail and Clark\u2019s Trail.<\/p>\n

Male and female pro purses will be awarded in amounts of $500, $250 and $100. Registration is $25 for children, $45 for tech personnel and $65 for adults.<\/p>\n

Spring Break at Aztec Museum<\/div>\n

Aztec Museum and Pioneer Village will open for spring break from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday, March 14 to 25, and is at 125 N. Main Ave.<\/p>\n

The museum and village features 15 structures with thousands of artifacts related to San Juan County\u2019s past. Learn about local legends and the area\u2019s unique history by visiting exhibits like the 1880 Hamblet Cabin, which was made notorious by the Christmas Eve shooting that is said to have helped to spark the Stockton-Eskridge Gang.<\/p>\n

Visitors may also ring the bell outside the one-room schoolhouse exhibit, see the ongoing restoration work of a replica D&RG caboose and see midcentury clothing and hats in the main building, Aztec\u2019s 1940s City Hall.<\/p>\n

A free stamping craft activity will be available for kids during spring break week.<\/p>\n

Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children and free for children 5 years old and younger. Annual memberships are also available.<\/p>\n

Farmington Cannabis Crawl<\/div>\n

The inaugural Farmington Cannabis Crawl will start on St. Patrick\u2019s Day, Friday, March 17, and run through Sunday, March 19, with multiple participating locations in Farmington, Kirtland and Aztec.<\/p>\n

Celebrate the culture of cannabis and learn more about the variety of products available. Pick up a crawl passport at Dreamz Dispensary and the visit the 16 participating dispensaries to collect stamps and stickers. Participating dispensaries will offer special pricing, events and prizes.<\/p>\n

The drop-off sponsor, The Grass Station, will collect completed passports and draw the grand prize and runner-up prize winners March 23. The $1,000 grand prize and $500 runner-up prize sponsor is Grady\u2019s Cannabis.<\/p>\n

St. Patrick\u2019s Day Celebrations<\/div>\n

Choose from three St. Patrick\u2019s Day-theme celebrations this year on Friday, March 17.<\/p>\n

Sycamore Park Community Center will host St. Patrick\u2019s Day madness from 5 to 7 p.m. at the center, 1051 Sycamore St. Celebrate the holiday with games for the whole family. Get creative with green and try to win the Most Creative Green Worn contest. The event is free to attend and family-friendly. For more information, call (505) 566-2480.<\/p>\n

No Worries Sports Bar and Grill will host live music with Celtic band Ga Greine from 6 to 9 p.m. at the restaurant, 1298 W. Navajo St. Ga Greine plays traditional Irish music, and No Worries will have drink and music specials all evening. For more information, call (505) 436-2657.<\/p>\n

Lauter Haus Brewing will host live music with U.K.-based band The Trials of Cato at 7 p.m. at the brewery, 1806 E. 20th St. Band members Tomos Williams, Will Addison and Robin Jones are a Welsh\/English folk banding playing Celtic music, with recent performances at SXSW music festival. March Madness Youth Tournament<\/div>\n

The March Madness youth basketball tournament will take place Thursday, March 16 to Saturday, March 18, at KYA Gym in Kirtland, 4208 U.S. Highway 64.<\/p>\n

Tournament divisions will include 11U, 13U and 15U coed teams with 10-player rosters. Awards will be given for championship, runner-up, third place, all tourney and MVP.<\/p>\n
