(Stock photo)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p><div class=\"naviga-element naviga-subheadline1\">West African Drumming<\/div>\n<p>San Juan College will host a West African drumming ensemble performance from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 14, at Connie Gotsch Theatre, 4601 College Blvd.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Teun Fetz, assistant professor of music, will lead the African Drumming group, featuring Male Fainke, in a performance featuring music from Guinea, Mali and areas of West Africa including Denadon, Dibon, Djaa, Djabara, Djagbe and Donaba.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and free for children 12 years old and younger. Tickets are available <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sanjuancollege.edu\/news-and-events\/events-calendar\/other-events\/2023-04-14-sjc-west-african-drumming-ensemble-featuring-male-fainke\/\" id=\"link-1ddd77607653a3c94c8a1e5cea014818\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">online<\/a>, at the SJC bookstore and at the door.<\/p>\n<div class=\"naviga-element naviga-subheadline1\">Twin Falls Trail hike<\/div>\n<p>Join Farmington Museum for its next History Hike to Twin Falls Trail. The bus will leave the museum at 8 a.m. Saturday, April 15. Hikers should meet at the museum, 3041 E. Main St., prior to 8 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>The 6-mile trail is located near Teec Nos Pos, Arizona and is rated moderate. Pack plenty of water, sunscreen, a hat and appropriate shoes.<\/p>\n<p>The hike is available to hikers 16 years old and older. A sack lunch is included in the fee.<\/p>\n<p>Fee for the hike is $30 to $35. Advanced registration is required. To register, call (505) 599-1400.<\/p>\n<div class=\"naviga-element naviga-subheadline1\">Two Guys Comedy show<\/div>\n<p>Nationally touring comics Mark Riccadonna and Tom Briscoe will make a stop in Farmington for the Two Guys Comedy Show at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 14, at Farmington Civic Center, 200 W. Arrington St.<\/p>\n<p>Riccadonna and Briscoe are known for their quick wit, timing and rapport drawn from decades of comedy, show business and friendship.<\/p>\n<p>Riccadonna recently starred in a lead role in the feature film \u201cDays of Power,\u201d and is a contributing writer for Saturday Night Live. Briscoe left a career in corporate sales to pursue comedy. He now headlines major clubs, resorts and casinos nationwide.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets are $14 to $18. Tickets may be purchased online at <a href=\"http:\/\/fmtn.org\/shows\" id=\"link-699f4e18dceb4c654f9f22c6bee7fd6a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fmtn.org\/shows<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"naviga-element naviga-subheadline1\">Poetry reading with Samuel Galbraith<\/div>\n<p>Albuquerque poet Samuel Galbraith will host a reading from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 15, at Amy\u2019s Bookcase, 2530 San Juan Blvd.<\/p>\n<p>At only 16 years old, Galbraith has made his entrance to the arts community with his debut book \u201cMismatched Perceptions.\u201d He will discuss his work, read a selection of his poetry and sign books as part of Amy\u2019s celebration of National Poetry Month. Friday events include Masters Saddle Roping at 4 p.m., followed by the No. 11 Slide Cash Roping competition at 6 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday events begin early, with the No. 10.5 kicking off at 10 a.m. The No. 8.5 Cash Roping will begin at 1 p.m. Cash prizes will be awarded to winners.<\/p>\n<p>This is a family-friendly event.
