Autumn colors are peaking, but the San Juan National Forest says there\u2019s still time for a day trip this weekend to take in the wonder of the season.<\/p>\n

About 75 percent of the foliage from Dolores to Lizard Head Pass has changed, making it a prime area for viewing. The area from Mancos to the La Plata Mountains is about 60 percent changed. The areas from Telluride to Ouray and\u00a0 Silverton\/Red Mountain are about 75 percent changed. Anything over 50 percent is considered good for photography.<\/p>\n

The Forest Service updates its fall color report frequently. To see which areas are turning, recommended viewing areas and peak periods, visit http:\/\/bit.ly\/2y6UXnG<\/a>.<\/p>\n
