{"id":73502,"date":"2016-08-04T17:04:32","date_gmt":"2016-08-04T23:04:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/usra-races-kick-of-2016-fair\/"},"modified":"2016-08-04T23:04:32","modified_gmt":"2016-08-04T23:04:32","slug":"usra-races-kick-of-2016-fair","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/usra-races-kick-of-2016-fair\/","title":{"rendered":"USRA races kick of 2016 Fair"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><!-- gallery:de321968-c9c5-4824-95bc-da005d934358 --><\/p>\n<p>The 2016 Montezuma County Fair kicked off last friday night with United States Racing Association races at the Fairgrounds Speedway.<\/p>\n<p>The speedway reported 63 cars registered to race across multiple divisions, and it estimated somewhere near 700 spectators had filled the bleachers to take in the action.<\/p>\n<p>After winning their divisions during the July 15 races, Jordan Eddleman, of Kirtland and Zane Devilbliss, of Farmington, took home first place again on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Eddleman won the Limited Mod class and Devilbliss took the flag in the A-Mods.<\/p>\n<p>Tony Hill, of Cortez \u2013 who won the B-Mods in the previous race \u2013 came up with another victory, this time, in the Stock Car class.<\/p>\n<p>Bradley Huish won the Mini Sprints, Eugene Felker took first in Sport Compact, Rhett Proctor claimed the Hobby Stocks and Rex Higgins won B-Mods.<\/p>\n<p>Many of the drivers stuck around to race again on Saturday, and Felker and Proctor once again won their divisions.<\/p>\n<p>And then Rex Higgins won the B-Mods and Jacob Gallardo took Modifieds.<\/p>\n<p>The Limited Modified and Stock Car divisions were rained out, but may be made up at a later date.<\/p>\n<p>The next scheduled races are set for Friday, August 12.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fairgrounds Speedway on Friday and Saturday<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":73503,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[],"tags":[21],"naviga_topic":[],"class_list":["post-73502","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","tag-cortez"],"acf":[],"author_name":"dh_admin","_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/73502","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=73502"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/73502\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/73503"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=73502"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=73502"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=73502"},{"taxonomy":"naviga_topic","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/dh.durangoherald.com\/tj\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/naviga_topic?post=73502"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
